Statement based on the 4 TH international conference on global food security – December 2020: Challenges for a disruptive research Agenda

The 4th Global Food Security conference highlighted four major developments: the shift from food security to systems; a focus on diets and consumption patterns; importance of unknown futures inherent uncertainties risks; central role multi-level connections between local- global-oriented research. These shifts highlight for research contribute dialogue collective intelligence through evidence-based brokerage, move beyond polarization debates. also call involvement scientists in multi-stakeholder arrangements strengthen innovation learning at different levels, their participation foresight studies help navigate plausible futures. Delegates discussed five scientific challenges be addressed both investments by improving science-policy interfaces.
